The 1841 census gave the following details for the residents of Wappenshall.  The number references refer to the map sections, which are shown below the tithe details.  Apologies if this takes some time to load - I've had to load the map at a large scale so you can see the details.

Note that The Villa (23) and The Wharf (22) are listed as being occupied by the Duke of Sutherland himself !  The Shrewsbury Canal Company owned the Shrewsbury Arm tow path and embankment (20) with the Birmingham and Liverpool Junction Canal Company owning the Newport Arm (21).
